On my garden to do list this weekend
Getting our witch hazel arches ready for netting our cruciferous vegetable bed.
Here i’m putting cabbages, cauliflower, kale, squashes, broccoli and radishes.
Planting my broad bean seedlings
My seedlings are ready to go in the ground!
Potting up Dahlias
We stored the dahlias in layers of straw over winter and it’s time to pot them up in large containers (at least 2 litre – I use 3 litre pots) filled with multi-purpose potting compost. Then we’ll be popping them in a light, frost-free place and keeping the compost moist. At the end of April I’ll plant them directly into the ground once the frost is gone. Oh I’m so excited to see these beautiful flowers again!
